Venture capital in project financing contracts [Project Finance]

Abstract:

Analysing Project Finance has allowed us to delimit the ways in which the capital destined to carry out a specific project by a company specifically constituted for that purpose, can be raised.
The regulati ons on Solvency imposed by the Basel Committee have restricted the investment opportunities of credit entities that had previously invested through the mechanisms of loan auctions or syndicated loans. This decrease in the participation of credit entities has allowed other businesses, particularly venture capital companies, to become involved in projects, either by providing capital directly or through participating loans.
