Abstract:
The EU Next Generation initiative and the post-covid recovery programs have increased the interest of public authorities in the implementation of equity and quasi-equity financial instruments aimed both at protecting the solvency of companies and at promoting new lines of innovation and economic growth, particularly in the field of clean and digital technologies. This article aims to provide an overview of the state of play of public venture capital financing, with particular reference to the new instruments launched in the framework of the Next Generation initiative and the European Green Deal.
